The Lost City Of MUARO JAMBI
After breakfast at hotel, our guide proceed to go to Candi Muaro Jambi is the largest Buddhist temple complex (city) in South East Asia, located in Muaro Jambi Regency, Jambi Province, Sumatra, Indonesia. The temple complex ( city ) was built by the Melayu Kingdom around 11 to 13 century.
The archaeological site includes eight excavated temple sanctuaries and covers about 12 square kilometers, stretches 7.5 kilometers along the Batang Hari River, 80 mounds of temple ruins, are not yet restored.
8 am : Pick up by guide and driver from hotel/ airport
9 am : Try and taste traditional sweet food hawker from Jambi street & Pasar Keramik
11 am : Visiting “Jambi Kota Seberang“ by walking through Gentala Arasy bridge that stunning above Batanghari river
11.30 am : While you in Jambi Kota Seberang you can see the old Melayu house and batik handcraft process
12.30 am : Arrive at Lost City of Muaro Jambi, lunch with traditional Jambi food
2 pm : Go to Garden of Eternal Tree ( Candi Mahligai ) by wooden canoe through ancient canal. A stunning place where you can see by your own eyes the more than 600 years old tree that standing above Candi Mahligai that still buried under ground
2.45 pm : Stop at Grand complex of Kedaton temple, Ancient grand complex temple from 9th century civilization that still stand above ground
3.05 – 5 pm : Explore grand complex of muaro jambi temple from Tinggi temple , Kembar temple and Astano temple where you can feel the rainforest by taking bentor to go around.
